The video by Skoll Foundation features Joe Madiath, Gram Vikas Founder - Chairman, talking about how witnessing exclusion of the poor and lower castes motivated him to create solutions for equity for rural communities in India. Water and sanitation became pathways to addressing issues of exclusion, dignity, equity and poverty. In Joe’s words, “The hidden agenda was to address the problem of exclusion, but the open agenda was to see that people got quality water and sanitation facilities in rural areas."
