Balakrushna Mallik and Maitri Priyadarshini of Gram Vikas High School, Konkia passed by securing 81.33% in the in the Odisha State High School Examination. Of the 85 children who appeared for High School Examinations, all the 85 children passed with 32 students securing 1st Division.

Free Mega Surgical Camp “Sahaya” held at Berhampur 0n 29th Jan. to 7th Feb.2011
Rotary clubs of Berhampur and Chatrapur have organized a free Mega Surgical Camp from 29th Jan. to 7th Feb. 2011 at Berhampur, with the collaborative effort of Govt. functionaries, NGOs and Civil bodies, aimed at catering to the medical needs of the poor and destitute patients.
Gram Vikas has supported in activities like identifying patients, volunteering, post operational support, providing accommodation and food etc.
Workshop on Electricity Regulation
State level workshop on electricity regulation was organised jointly with PRAYAS where representatives from Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission, Distcoms, people’s representatives and local community participated.
Eastern Regional Consultation on Climate Change
Gram Vikas hosted the Eastern Regional Consultation on Climate Change and Sustainable agriculture in January 2010. The consultation brought together civil society partners, academicians and intellectuals from Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh to highlight the effects of climate change in these eastern states, to understand the vulnerability of eastern states due to climatic variations and its impact on agriculture and other climate sensitive sectors. The consultation was an eye opener and brought forth the ecological and geographical diversity within the eastern states and the need for concerted action at various levels to tackle the impact of climate change.
